Carolyn Human
Carolyn Human’s work experience in newsrooms and a public relations agency equals the perfect mix of expertise for clients looking to build and improve relationships with the media and key stakeholders.
After graduating from Syracuse University with a dual degree in Marketing from The Martin J. Whitman School of Management and Broadcast Journalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Carolyn was a producer at Hearst Television’s NBC stations in Burlington, VT and Orlando, FL.
She returned to Buffalo in 2007 to work at Travers Collins. Her work on the 2011 Buffalo Police Recruitment advertising and public relations campaign earned the agency the platinum “best of show” award at the 2012 Buffalo Niagara Public Relations Society of America Excalibur awards.
In May 2012, Carolyn started Carolyn Human Communications LLC. A few of her current clients include: Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Greater Buffalo Racial Equity Roundtable, Insyte Consulting and Buffalo Manufacturing Works.
Carolyn Human Communications LLC is a certified women owned business enterprise in New York State. She is a member of Buffalo Business First's 2019 40 Under 40 class.
Carolyn is also active in her community. She is currently on the board of the Western New York Women's Foundation and is Co-Chair of the 21st Century Fund.
